“Ocean of Compassion” comes from verses 4-5 of a hymn called Shiva Manasa Puja. It is said to have been composed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Beautiful, uplifting, and devotional, this hymn creates a sacred space for the listener to inhabit.
The video features vocals and harmonium by Heather Wertheimer, bansuri bamboo flute by Steve Gorn, and keyboards by Benjy Wertheimer. Other band members pictured are Luna Rain, Kristin Wheary, and Sean Frenette.
