FIVE began as a labor of hope and love during the peak of the pandemic, leading to the creation of Shantala’s fifth studio album of sacred world chants.

With this album, Shantala builds on the legacy of their well-loved offerings from the past while exploring some bold new directions. It includes both Western and Indian musical influences, honoring the Indian roots that have given the West this sacred music. With top-shelf production, the album features extraordinary guest artists including Grammy winners Lili Haydn (of Opium Moon) and Steve Gorn, Jami Sieber, Tina Malia, Alam Khan, Todd Boston, Josh Feinberg, Gaura Vani, and Visvambhar Sheth.
