Sister Lucy Kurien opened Maher’s first home 29 years ago. Today, Maher, which means “Mother’s Home”, is a haven of hope, healing, and belonging to 2,000 women, children, and men in 73 homes across seven Indian states.
Maher further advances its mission of “walking with the poorest of the poor” to a higher quality of life, irrespective of gender, caste, creed or religion through outreach and education programs in 672 villages and a 15,000-member self-help group network.
All proceeds after expenses will be donated to Maher Asharam. Donations will gratefully be accepted to support the work of compassion and love being done by Sister Lucy.
No one will be turned away at the door for lack of funds.
